Chinese congress delegation concludes visit to Samoa

APIA, Samoa, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese congress delegation concluded its four-day visit to the South Pacific island nation of Samoa on Tuesday, with both sides agreeing to further strengthen bilateral relations.

The delegation, led by Chen Changzhi, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC), visited the country at the invitation of Samoan parliament Speaker Tolofuaivalelei Falemoe Leiataua.

During the visit, the delegation met separately with Samoan head of state Tuiatua Tupua Tamasese Efi, Prime Minister Tuilaepa Lupesoliai Neioti Aiono Sailele Malielegaoi and Tolofuaivalelei.

Representatives of both countries spoke highly of the bilateral ties, saying the basis of bilateral cooperation had become firm with a broad perspective since China fake rolex and Somoa established diplomatic relations in 1975.

Both sides called for the maintenance of high-level exchanges, further expand bilateral cooperation in various areas and push forward development of bilateral ties on a basis of mutual respect and equal treatment.

The Samoan side reaffirmed that the country would adhere to the one China policy.

The leaders also said the legislative bodies of China and Samoa should keep high-level communications, enrich the content of bilateral cooperation, and tap the public and social basis of friendship between the two countries.
